Well intersting suggestion, I tried this and it asked for the disk, of course. I was able to get a copy of a disk image of the 2007 install disk (ACAD.MSI, etc), and tried the repair (same outcome), tried complete reinstall after a full cleanout (steps suggested by AutoDesk Support pages), etc.

It is on Windows 7 64bit. Understand that 2007 is not 64 bit itself, however, it ran on this computer before (and also I work for another company where they have a 2007 running on a Win 7 64 bit). Error Message in regular mode is as above. Error Message in safe mode is: ' A license stem error has occured.
